If all the people that have bad mouthed or tried to compare this to another movie had actually done research with their computers (you know there is thing called search engines on the internet) they would know that "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" from Disney was based on Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe's poem of the same name in German it was "Der Zauberlehrling" and it was written in 1797. So if anything even Gandalf from LOTR has some basis from Goethe. There are too many mentally deficit people with access to this site being critical about movies they have not the intelligence or skill to make.
